Friends in Low Places

Answer a few questions for me: Are you having a bad day? Did your boyfriend recently leave you? Have you suddenly found yourself your very own eating disorder? Are you a recovering alcoholic who has recently fallen off the wagon? Do you despise your job? Estranged from your parents? If you answered yes to any of these questions, we are more than likely friends. Life comes at you every single day whether you are ready for it or not. It comes at you whether it's your life or not. I am blessed to have my friends in my life, but some days I wish the blessings would fall on them so we can all be happy at the same time.

The Lemming Life

Twitter...I don't really get it. That, of course, didn't stop me from signing up. I realize I haven't given it a chance, and I experienced the same thing when I first joined MySpace and Facebook. I have since deleted my MySpace account and am starting to lose interest in Facebook (or MyFace as my father calls it).

So why did I sign up? Well, because everyone else seemed to be doing it. I can hear my mother in the back of my head, "If your friends all jumped off a bridge, would jump too?" Apparently and unfortunately, yes.

Weekend Cooking

Chad and I have been talking about making homemade pizzas for a couple of weeks. When you're dating a Chef you have to kind of pull in the reigns when it comes to grocery store purchases. He would buy everything his little heart desires every week if we didn't have some sort of plan when we go in to shop.

Well, last weekend we decided we would definitely make some pizzas after watching a cooking show Saturday morning. The host was making...you guessed it, homemade pizza. I had kind of decided in my head that we should make a vegetarian pizza, while Chad had settled on Canadian bacon and sauerkraut.

In the end we compromised...we made two pizzas. Of course Chad got all of the ingredients ready and showed me how to roll out the dough, but I feel like we jointly made the pizza. Not to say that I'm going into the pizza business anytime soon, but I must say they tasted very good.
